BWI is located ten miles (16 km) south of Baltimore and 30 miles (48 km) north of Washington, D.C. There is a ground transportation counter in the arrivals area.

TAXI
Taxis to downtown Baltimore will take 20 to 30 minutes and cost around $20 depending on the traffic.
TRAIN
There's a free shuttle bus to the airport train station where you can find MARC and Amtrak trains. Look for the signs to the train as you leave the baggage claim.
Light rail trains leave frequently for Baltimore Penn Station. The fare is $1.35. From there, it's just a short taxi ride to any downtown location.
SUPERSHUTTLE

RENTAL CAR
All the major car rental firms have counters at BWI. If you plan to travel outside the downtown area, a rental car is highly recommended.
